Sweet Teddy Bear

I've been crafting away! Like a crazy woman. Times like this, I'm so glad that I get to stay home. And we're able to live a lifestyle, that allows me to be a Stay-at-Home Wife and Mommy. It means a lot to me!

With that being said, I've been making lots of things. Getting ready to meet our sweet little girl. I'm also trying to make some sweet gifts, for some friends. We're all due, around the same time. I found this pattern, and I'm so excited!!



I can just imagine, this Teddy Bear growing with our sweet girls. Something that they can love and cherish, for a long time!! Everything about this little bear, just makes me happy!!

Candle Maker Wanna Be

I don't know how I dream up some of my ideas. They just come to me. They hit me, like a ton of bricks. Then my ideas, completely consume my brain. Do you ever get that way?

Never mind, that I'm nearly 6 months pregnant. All I can think about, is making candles. I think it all started, when I used to watch Port Charles. Between, that was my favorite Soap! And I miss it a lot!! Ever since I seen Alison with her Candle Shop, I've wanted to make candles. I know, I'm nuts!!



Now with my pregnant belly, I want to be a Candle Maker. I'm nuts! I know it. But it just seems like a nice hobby. Something I'd really enjoy. I probably buy 4 candles a week! :) I'm trying really hard, to distract myself. With hobbies, that won't cause much harm to my tummy. Because hot wax, doesn't sound like the best idea right now....

Spring Booties

I'm starting my first pair of Baby Girl Booties! I saw these booties, and I just knew I had to make them! Aren't they adorable? Perfect for Spring! I know, I'm thinking far ahead of myself. But I just can't help it! I'm so excited! I'm going to make the Tapestry Rose Baby Shoes. By the time Spring rolls around next year, our Baby Cake will be around 6 months old. I hope they fit her, all the way through Spring!

Precious Hat!!

When I came across this hat, I about died! The cuteness, is almost too much for me to handle! I immediately printed the pattern. And dug through my stash of cotton yarn. Which is not much at all. Note to self, stock up the next time Hobby Lobby has a sale! But I'm in the middle of this hat. And I just started it. Talk about an easy pattern!! And I just LOVE the way it's coming out. When I finish with this on, I'm going to make another hat, in this exact color palette. It's just perfect for a little girl! The Dainty Daisy, is such a great blog too!!

Tiramisu Please!!

In the last week, my pregnancy has really gotten real. Do you understand what I mean? It's like, finding out that we're having a Baby Girl, just makes all of this real!

One of the very first Baby blankets I ever saw, and wanted to make, was the Tiramisu Baby Blanket. I've had a print out of the pattern, in my nightstand for years! Last Friday, I started this blanket. In these colors. In one week, I'm nearly done! I just have the trim to finish. And the ribbon to pull through. :)



It's like there is magic in our home. We're so excited to meet our little girl! And I'm 99.9% sure, that we have her name, picked out. It's almost too perfect! God sends us so much love. I'm so grateful to him. For making all my dreams come true!

Sweet Baby Cakes Love!!!!

My hubby and I have been counting down the weeks. We just can't wait to meet our sweet Baby Cake!!!! Every appointment, my hubby takes the morning off of work. And we go to our appointments together. Dreaming up the days, when we get to hold our sweet baby.

And with every passing week, we get closer and closer to our dreams. We've been watching our Baby Cake grow. We've been enjoying everything about my pregnancy. Cherish all our sweet pictures. Look forward to hearing, our Baby Cake's heartbeat. And this week, was a BIG week! We found out some big news!!

We're having a Baby Girl!!!!

We are so happy! And with this news, I had to start my first Baby Girl project. This cute hat! I can't wait, to see my Baby Girl, in the hat I'm crocheting. More importantly, I can't wait to hold my Baby Girl. And cover her in sweet kisses!!!!

Paradise

My hubby just surprised me. With a trip to paradise. This is the last opportunity we are going to have, to go on a trip, before becoming parents. I'm really excited! We've been wanting to take a trip for a few years now. But we just couldn't seem to work it in. I'm so happy that my hubby planned this for us. We both need it. And I honestly can't wait! Our trip is also going to be a celebration for my recent graduation. Right now, life just feels perfect. Something that I couldn't have planned out better. See you when we get back from "Paradise!"

I Want This...

There are very few things that I really want...right this minute. But this book, is definitely on the top of my list! I just can't find it anywhere! Not at any of our bookstores. And I'm just too cheap to buy it online. What is a girl to do? I just wish I had this book in my hands, right this second. :)

Monkey Business

The minute I seen this crochet book, I just had to have it! You know, for our "Baby Cakes." :) I got it in the mail today. And I almost died from the cuteness factor! I'm thinking of making the blue blanket, but in green. Or some other neutral color. Because I just can't wait until my 20th week. No, I can't! And that seems to be a "safe" bet.

College Graduate

I don't think I've mentioned it on here yet, but I graduated on Saturday! It was such an exciting day. Filled with so much accomplishment. It just felt so good to finish that part of my life.

For right now, I'm not planning on working. Just "cooking" our baby. And you know, getting ready for our life to be turned upside down. But in a good way. I'm so excited for everything that lays in front of us.

Now, I'm off to enjoy some "down time." Studying for your Master's degree doesn't leave much fun time. So I'm really going to enjoy this time!

I just wanted to wish all the moms out there a wonderful Mother's Day! All the moms, grandmas, and women in general deserve an amazing day. For all the love and nurturing they do for us. I know I'm blessed with the most loving mom out there! And so many amazing women that make my life better. :)

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! We're spending our holiday with family and friends. Something we don't get to do a lot. Both my hubby and I are really excited about that! And hopefully the Easter Bunny brought you plenty of candy. You know, the good stuff...chocolate! :)

Fun Hat

Isn't this hat so adorable? I was "googling" some hat patterns. This picture came up. And I can't find it's source. I really would like to make our "Baby Cakes" a couple of cute hats. Just like this. Does anyone know where this is from? Or where I can find a pattern for something similar?

Cuddle Cocoons

Since I found out I was pregnant, all I've wanted to do is crochet. Crochet cute baby things. When I seen this book, I just had to have it. I ordered it, the day after I found out I was pregnant. But with all this "morning sickness" and "busy-ness" that we've had going on, I kinda forgot about my book.

A few nights ago, I was cleaning out my nightstand, and I found my book! I immediately went running to my craft room. What you don't know is, I was going to bed. Had my pjs on, teeth brushed, face washed, halfway in bed. And I went digging around for yarn.



I stayed up another 2 hours. To just get a "cuddle cocoon" started. In a neutral color. Since we don't know if our "Baby Cake" is a boy or a girl. I can't wait to finish it up!

Red Riding Hood

I just bought this book. I really want to see the movie. And after talking to Lola, she said I had to read the book first. I agree. I like to read the book, before watching the movie. I'm so happy that Lola and I talked. I like to imagine up the story in my head, then watch the movie.

I know that most of the time, I'm a little disappointed with the movie. But I hate to watch the movie, and then read the book. It feels more disappointing that way.

Now I need to show some self restraint. You know, I need to study. But I think this book is going to be a good distraction. As long as I keep it as a "distraction." And remember that I need to study first!

Ruby Star

I'm looking for some Ruby Star. I hear that it's a beautiful vine. I'd love to plant some along our back fence. But again, we live in a small town. And it's hard to find anything other than a rose bush, petunias, or a palm tree. I'm not sure what that's all about. But it's kinda difficult. Anyway that you look at it, I'm on the hunt for some Ruby Star.

Gorgeous!

Isn't this the most amazing ring? I think it's gorgeous! From what I've read, it's the ring that Bachelor Brad gave to Miss Emily. And it's worth $90,000!!! Are you serious? Yes, I am!

I just think it's stunning. All those diamonds. I'd never feel comfortable wearing it. Heck, there are days when I really stress, wearing my rings. My engagement ring is just over a carat. And my my wedding band is a carat of small diamonds. I worry that I'm going to lose them. I'd probably have a heart attack if I had a ring like this.

It is beautiful. Stunning. I'm just not the type of woman, that could wear a ring like this. Maybe because I worry too much about money. But anyway that you spin it, it is stunning. Simply stunning.

Elizabeth

Such sad news today. The beautiful Elizabeth Taylor has passed away. What a legend. She will be missed dearly. I loved her character. The woman that she was. So strong. And not afraid of life. Or living it. Such an amazing and strong woman. Now, I'm off to go enjoy some of her movies.

Feliz Cumpleanos Prima!

I just wanted to wish our prima a very Happy Birthday! You are so special to both of us. And I can't wait to see you again! It's been way too long. And I'd love to spend a lot of time catching up. And eating. Our favorite hobby! I've been saving up lots of yummy cupcake recipes, to try out, when you are visiting.

I think about all the amazing people that are in our lives. But no one is as special to Fern and I, than you. You just know how to make us smile. It's always a good day, when we get to see you.

I've never met a completely true, honest, and loving soul. Until I met you. A person that would give anything, to help someone out. We're all lucky to know you. You make every one's life better. Just by being you. Being in our lives. We're all so very lucky!

Happy Birthday Prima! I hope you get everything that you wish and dream about. You deserve everything that your heart desires.
