Baby Inspiration

I few years ago, I'd read tons and tons of blogs! Every day I'd read blogs. About sewing, crocheting, and crafting for kids. Obviously at the time, we didn't have kids. We weren't planning on kids yet. It didn't stop me! I had a folder on my computer, that was bursting with fun projects!

Fast forward a few years. And I'm pregnant, and in "Craft Overload." Most woman, spend their 9 months of pregnancy, shopping, being a little nervous about their newborn, and just preparing. Me? Not so much! I was working 100MPH. Trying to get all my projects done. :)

This happens to be one of those projects. I fell in love with it! The first time I seen it. 2 years ago, Jill posted it. Since then, I've probably visited this post, 50 times. I'm not sure what it is. But something about this picture, calls my name!



I started 2 little rattles. One for Miss B. The other for Sofia. And that blanket, I just adore it! I emailed Jill a few times about it. But never got an answer. So I studied this picture. It looks like a blanket of single crochets. That's it! That color, is just perfect too!

Not long ago, Vanna's yarn was on sale at JoAnn's. And I bought a bunch of the pink. The perfect pink! I just knew, I'd need it soon! :) I'm going to start this blanket soon. I'm hoping, that this will be my project, for our upcoming trip. We're flying across country! I'm so giddy, just thinking about all this goodness!!

Spring Pinks and Greens

By now, I'm sure that you all know about my LOVE of all things Aqua and Red! :) It would surprise you, but not all of my home, is in this color palette. Only our Kitchen, my Craft Room, and Miss B's Nursery.

Miss B for the most part, has been showered in this color palette. And it makes me smile. There is just something about it. I can't explain it! But when I saw this blanket, in pinks and greens, I fell in L-O-V-E!!!!



This is my new project. The Hexagon Blanket. In this color palette. It's like Spring, wrapped up, in a little blanket. Perfect for Summer evenings, spent outside on our lawn. Gardening, while Miss B enjoys exploring our yard. :) Oh and Attic 24, might just be my new favorite blog!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!!!!

Today is such a magical day! I'm sure that I've said this a thousand times, but life is just more magical, with a baby. :) You see life in a different light. I've always enjoyed Easter. The rebirth. Knowing that Jesus gave us everything. Including his love and life. With our daughter, it feels like we're experiencing everything, for the first time.

See that cake? I found it, doing a little Google search. The minute I seen it, I knew I had to make it. Why? To take to Lola and Guy's house. Today. After Mass. We're going to be celebrating this beautiful day, with so many people that we love. Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny remembered my chocolate!

Cute Booties

Although our family has had some sad news this week, we got to see Lola. Which is ALWAYS a nice treat!! And while we were catching up, Lola was crocheting the cutest booties. I just had to know where she got the pattern. It's one of the Featured Patterns at Free Patterns, this week. T-Strap Booties.



The minute I got home, I printed the pattern. And went searching for some yarn. I'm almost done with the first pair. Red. :) I can see many pairs, in our near future! I'm sure Miss B is going to love them!

Sleeping Bunny

Today while Miss B napped, and my hubby was working on our yard, I took to Ravelry. :) And I found this adorable little bunny. Perfect for Miss B's Easter Basket. This is a quick and easy pattern. That I whipped up, during naptime. I can't wait until Easter!

Spring Posies

With Spring officially starting next week, I'm looking for fun crafts to make. :) That's why I just had to buy this pattern! These Posies just put a smile on my face! I'm waiting to get the pattern. I just bought it! I have the perfect dress for Miss B. To wear on Tuesday. This headband is going to be the perfect, finishing touch!

An Easter Bunny

Easter is just around the corner. No lie! I'm just now, finishing my Easter/Spring decorating. I know! But I'm still getting used to being a Mommy, and getting things done around our home. :) But I did find a picture, that is inspiring me, to dust off my sewing machine.



Isn't this Easter Bunny just too cute? I adore it! And I think Miss B, will treasure it. Lately, if she can stick it in her mouth, we're all good. And what better way, to get into the Spring spirit? A cute Easter Bunny! Now to decide on some fabrics....

Spring Has to Be Close!!

How do I know this? Besides the crazy weather, that we're having. One day it's H-O-T! Feels like Summer. Next, it's snowing! What's with this? I don't know. Our plants are in shock. We had lilies that bloomed. Gorgeous and big! Only to freeze, and get snowed on. The very next day!

We're not going to talk about the weather though. Nope! I think Spring is around the corner. How do I know this? Today Free Patterns has the cutest pattern. The Free Pattern of the Day is, Baby's First Easter!



Perfection! I'm going to make it for Miss B. Not to wear for Easter. Her Nana already bought her the cutest dress, I've ever seen! But I'm thinking, this would be perfect for Palm Sunday. I've never really made something like this. I'm definitely not comfortable with thread crochet. I'm sure, my Tia is going to get a ton of calls! I can't wait, to dress up Miss B. :)

My Sweetheart's Dress

Almost a year ago, I saw this pattern on Ravelry. I still remember it. How I wanted to make it immediately! I knew I was pregnant. But obviously, I didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl.



I downloaded the pattern. And waited for the day, when I'd get to make this dress. Somehow, this dress pattern, got lost in the mix. And at the oddest of times, I remembered it. On Christmas Day!!

As Christmas celebrating came to a close, I hunted down this pattern again. I had even bought the yarn. Almost a year ago! And I got to work. :) I'm making a white dress, with a red heart! I'm so excited!!!! Miss B is going to look like a doll!!!! This is going to be her Valentine's Day Dress!!!!

Did You Say Polka Dots?

It's no secret, Miss B, has plenty of beautiful crochet blankets! She'll never be in need. Believe me! We cherish and love, each and every one of them. It just shows, how much love, we're showered with. :)

But when I saw this pattern, I had to just stop. And stare! My hubby thinks I'm nuts! Our Baby Cakes is only 15 days old. And I'm going to start this blanket for her.



It doesn't sound too hard. And I have a nice amount of yarn, in my Craft Room. I think it will be a nice project to work on, when Miss B is napping. And I can't sleep. I can't wait to see what it turns out like! Oh, and this blog, is AMAZING too!
