Gorgeous!
Isn't this the most amazing ring? I think it's gorgeous! From what I've read, it's the ring that Bachelor Brad gave to Miss Emily. And it's worth $90,000!!! Are you serious? Yes, I am!
I just think it's stunning. All those diamonds. I'd never feel comfortable wearing it. Heck, there are days when I really stress, wearing my rings. My engagement ring is just over a carat. And my my wedding band is a carat of small diamonds. I worry that I'm going to lose them. I'd probably have a heart attack if I had a ring like this.
It is beautiful. Stunning. I'm just not the type of woman, that could wear a ring like this. Maybe because I worry too much about money. But anyway that you spin it, it is stunning. Simply stunning.

Feliz Cumpleanos Prima!
I just wanted to wish our prima a very Happy Birthday! You are so special to both of us. And I can't wait to see you again! It's been way too long. And I'd love to spend a lot of time catching up. And eating. Our favorite hobby! I've been saving up lots of yummy cupcake recipes, to try out, when you are visiting.
I think about all the amazing people that are in our lives. But no one is as special to Fern and I, than you. You just know how to make us smile. It's always a good day, when we get to see you.
I've never met a completely true, honest, and loving soul. Until I met you. A person that would give anything, to help someone out. We're all lucky to know you. You make every one's life better. Just by being you. Being in our lives. We're all so very lucky!
Happy Birthday Prima! I hope you get everything that you wish and dream about. You deserve everything that your heart desires.
Feliz Cumpleanos!!!

Fun Crochet Patterns
Today was a good day for free crochet patterns! Honestly, I liked both of them. :) I'd like to make one for a gift. And the other for me.
If you like these patterns, you should head over to Free Patterns and Free Crochet. These are both the "patterns of the day."
This is the Katina's Bedtime Set. From Free Patterns. I think it would be a nice gift for a little girl.
And Springtime Coasters from Free Crochet.
If you like these patterns, you should head over to Free Patterns and Free Crochet. These are both the "patterns of the day."

Spring Break
Spring break is officially here! Thank goodness. I felt like it would never get here. Maybe I'm just anxious to end my last semester. I don't know.
But my hubby has also managed to get some time off of work. We're headed to our hometown this afternoon. Just for the weekend. We want to spend some time with our families and friends. Then we're planning some much needed time, to relax too. And hopefully a small trip to the mountains.
I'm definitely not your "typical college student." No crazy parties for me. No insane Spring Break trips. But I plan on lots of time with my hubby. To me, that's the perfect way to spend my week off of school! :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!
We're not the "crazy, beer drinking, partying" kind of people. Nor are we Irish. But I think St. Patrick's Day is a fun holiday.
We don't have any big plans. Just a fun "green" themed meal after church tonight. And of course, I picked out the perfect green outfit. Other than that, we're pretty low key. Maybe I'll convince my hubby to go shopping for some flowers for our yard. After our tough winter, we need to give our yard a lot of TLC!

I've Got Fettuccine Alfredo on My Mind
Fettuccine Alfredo. It's been on my mind. Ridiculously so! I've actually been dreaming about it. No lie! So when I seen that Kasey had posted a video about it, I was so excited!
Doesn't this look super easy to make? And delicious too! You can bet your life on it, I'm making this for dinner soon. I just need to pick up a few things at the store. I can't wait. :)

Will They?
Do you think they'll make it? And by them, I'm talking about Emily and Brad from the Bachelor. And by make it, I mean...will they get married?
I made my hubby watch with me last night. I only watched the last few episodes. I don't know everything about their relationship. Or their past or whatever. I'm not a true viewer of the Bachelor. But I'm just not sure. I don't think they're going to make it.
I had high hopes going into last nights' episode. But with all the questions that Brad was avoiding, before the proposal, and the fact that this is the Bachelor...oh, and the "After the Final Rose" show...I just don't think they'll make it.
Emily and Brad just seem to be on 2 different pages. With different agendas. At different points of their lives. I think Emily might have a lot to lose if they were to get married. I don't think she's ready for marriage. And Mr. Brad, well I think he's ready. But maybe needs to be in a "real relationship" for a while.
And maybe I'm wrong. But it's how I feel. I think their age differences are also an issue. I'm thinking that Emily "won" because she was the most mature of the women on the show. I think that's what Brad is looking for. Someone to "settle down" with. But I just don't think this is going to last. What do you think?

Ash Wednesday
Today is Ash Wednesday. I already feel more "connected." You know, with both my religion, and myself. It's crazy how this day, every year, does this to me.
My hubby and I are looking at Lent a little differently this year. We really want to make a difference in other people's lives. To do good. To be more "good hearted." And in the moment.
We have a list of things that we want to accomplish. And I'm really excited! I can just tell, we're going to grow so much during this Lenten season. :)

Gardenias
I'm sorta in love with Gardenias at the moment. And I want to plant some in our yard. Now that we're coming to terms with the plants, that didn't make it during the Winter Freeze of 2011, we need to plant some new things. And on the top of my list, is gardenias.
I never realized how much I really love these flowers. But my prima has always had some planted in her yard. And they are just gorgeous! They have a beautiful scent. And after looking at some of my favorite perfumes, I'm realizing just how much I love these flowers.
Now I just need to find some. My prima said that she bought hers a few years ago. At Wal-Mart. Who would have thought? But I didn't find any when I went this past week. It might be too early in the season. And since we live in a small town, we're limited to stores that sell flowers. So let's hope I find some soon!
Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras. Is it me, or did Mardi Gras come around really quickly this year? I know, it's weeks later than last year. But it still feels like just yesterday we were celebrating this very day!
This year, my hubby and I aren't really giving up food. More of wanting to do good deeds during Lent. Let's not be fooled, it's not going to be any easier. But I think it will be more fulfilling.
And tonight, we're just going to have some friends over. A fun dinner, a little dressing up, and hopefully a whole lot of laughs! What are your plans for the "Big Day of Sins?"

One By One
So earlier this week, I went to Wal-Mart. And I was in search. Of what? I'm still not sure. But I came face to face with a display. Of Maybelline's new mascara. One by One. The tube was really calling my name. So I bought it.
I had no good reason to buy it. Other than, it looked interesting. So I bought it. It's only been a few days now, but I really do love this product. I have a feeling, I just found my new favorite mascara. You know, that "life changing" moment. Come on ladies, you have to know what I'm talking about.
This mascara both lengthens and thickens my lashes. It doesn't clump. Or smear. And I can use it on both my upper and lower lashes. It's perfection in a tube!

Gladiolus
I have to admit this, I never really thought about planting gladiolus. Never. Not once. It's not that I'm a flower snub or anything. I just never thought about them. Then, last year, when my hubby went to go water our prima's flowers, I saw them. She had so many growing. All different colors. Growing in mass bunches.
I fell in love. And I asked Fern what they were. He wasn't sure. So I called my prima. Who quickly let me know, that they are gladiolus. And she said that they quickly multiply like lirios (Iris.)
So I waited and waited. Until today. I found a big bag a Wal-Mart. I'm telling you, I never realized some of the great plants that they sell there. I got 20 bulbs, for $5! Awesome! And they are mixed colors. You could buy a single color. But I just think, half of the beauty, is the gorgeous colors! Let's see what happens. I planted them tonight. And they're supposed to bloom in July.

My New Chair
This is my new chair. I've been having some major back issues lately. And I really needed a new chair for my desk. So when I came home to find this beautiful chair sitting at my desk, I cried. Yes, I cried. That's a fact!
I had been looking at the chairs a few weeks ago, at Target. We have a Super Target about 90 minutes from where we live. And we went to look around. I seen this beauty, and really wanted it. But we're trying to save some money. So I past. And honestly, I was sad about it.
My hubby is just amazing. After work, he went and bought it. :) And he managed to put it together while I was in a study session. I was so excited when I got home. And this chair is not just pretty, it's super comfy! Oh, it's just love!
